Jena Smith : Instructor, Competitor & Judge Jena was exposed to dance at the early age of 4, studying Ballet, Jazz, Modern & Tap and eventually focused on Highland dance. She competed for over 12 years and was teaching at the age of 16. She took a short break from dance to focus on her education gaining a Masters Degree in Human Genetics before returning to dance and re-focusing her attention to Country and Swing dance. As well as teaching, competing & judging, she is currently in her 2nd year of Medicine at the University of Calgary, and is becoming a Medical Doctor.
